  3. Prepare 500 grams minced pork
  4. Take 1 tbsp finely chopped mix garlic and coriander roots

  6. Prepare 1 bunch spring onion,chopped
  7. Make ready 1/2 tsp each salt and pepper to taste
  8. Take 2 tbsp sesame oil
  9. Make ready 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  10. Get 1 tbsp soya sauce
  11. Get 1 egg yolk
  12. Get 2 cube of ice
  13. Make ready soup
  14. Make ready 1 1/2 liter chicken stock
  15. Make ready 1 each carrots,lettuce,beans sprout ,as needed
  16. Prepare 1 bunch each spring onion and cilantro to garnish
  17. Get 1/2 cup crispy garlic
  18. Prepare 1 as neede roasted pork ,optional

Generally, we have two types of wonton soup quite popular in China. One is clear or mild wonton soup and the other one is wonton soup in red oil. Surely, the later one is more popular in Sichuan. Wonton soup already has protein from the filling and starch from the wrappers, so to make it a full meal, I like to load it up with veggies.

Instructions to make Kanya's Wonton Soup :):
  1. Easy wonton soup my style ,boil chicken soup ,add carrots ,cabbage..or what you have on hand
  2. Roasted seasoning pork,optional
  3. Make wonton filling,finely chopped coriander roots with garlic,ginger,mix with pork,spring onion
  4. Seasoning ,by hand add yolk,2 cube of ice( tbis make it fresh,sticky) ,mix until sticky,bring to refrigerate at least half an hour
  5. Trim the edge of wonton wrapper,i make it in circle as it easy when you wrap with filling ,or you can wrap your own style ,while make this i suggest to cover the rest of wrapper to protect from dry
  6. Wrap wonton by circle shape wrapper,spoon the filling to middle,fold it up and seal theedge well with water,set in plate,repeat until finish..this may take a little time,so take only half of filling out from refrigerate ,as the rest can still fresh
  7. To serve: boil wonto in hot salt water about 4 minutes until it float up to top of the pot,set in serving bowls,base with lettuce,pour hot soup ,garnish with spring onion ,cilantro,crispy garlic
  8. Optional: serve side extra seasoning as chili,lime sliced or vinegar,chili,sugar :)

I often blanch bok choy in the broth for a few minutes, or stir in some baby spinach at the end. Whatever greens are calling out to you. This vegan wonton soup is made with savory shiitake stuffed wontons and crispy napa cabbage in a light gingery broth. Disclaimer: I suck really bad at wrapping wontons, and you probably do too. Nothing personal…it's just that, based on my experience wrapping.
